"Idle Hands" [Mirror Edit] - The Pagemaster
Apparently, Duke Nukem stole certain graphics from Turrican, Savage and even a Megaman game for the DOS.
Welcome to S&F Prod. Here you'll find utilities, cheats, downloads, hints, add-ons, Easter eggs, links and more for some of the best classic
Turrican Bonus downloads- Turrican Wallpaper, Turrican Soundtrack, Sprite Rips and more
At the very least, it highlights how lax game development was that some devs were like "meh whatever".
And Duke Nukem is cool, so i can't be mad at a little plagiarism here and there lol.
The Megaman DOS stuff interests me because apparently it started as a fan project and became official (But it also seems that the main dev had experience working with Capcom USA and porting Street Fighter to Commodore 64).
Kinda reminds me of when id Software did an unauthorized "port" of Super Mario Bros 3 using Dangerous Dave (Dangerous Dave in Copyright Infringement).
‘Looney Tunes: Road Runner’ [aka: ‘Desert Speedtrap starring Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote’]
[GG / MS] [SPAIN] [MAGAZINE] [1994]
A bit of confusion going on here in this ad for Road Runner’s pre-Genesis adventure. Based on the blurb and consoles listed, the ad is for an a the Looney Tunes-themed Sonic clone Desert Speedtrap where you played as the mischievous Road Runner. However, the screenshots are supposed to be for Desert Demotion, which came out for the Genesis and let you play as both him and Wile E. Coyote. On top of that, either they were using an older build or they faked the said screenshots, and to round everything up they hint that Speedtrap would be coming to the Master System and Game Gear! It’s a cluster.
