Week 3: Commuters Interview
In our 3rd week of interviews, we have encountered more student commuters. This we have heard students and its challenges faced that somehow relate us as fellow students.
Emilio, as a student living in Calaanan can get to school a lot easier because the morning rush, combined with traffic, is no longer a problem with the new ticketing system in place. The only problem Emilio faces is overloading, which can be discomforting as people are forced to be sardined together. Sometimes, the air condition on the bus is not working, or the bus driver is overly aggressive with the speed limit.
Casandra, Lyka, Judie, and Marc Lester; these commuters face challenges with buses. The buses often accept standing passengers even when seats are fully occupied. Conductors sometimes dictate seating, and Marc Lester highlights the wait times for buses in his area, which takes up his time.
Jewel, a student who commutes by bus for round trips. Her routine is easy, thanks to familiar conductors, but she observes that buses often claim to have more space than they do, leading to overcrowding and discomfort for elderly passengers.
Cindy, a student who commutes, it takes 5-10 minutes each way. She feels uncomfortable when buses have standing passengers, and she encounters fast-driving bus drivers. Mornings are particularly challenging due to rush hour.
This another week of interview ended with an insights that can help us in our problem validation. It highlights diverse experiences, making the interview session both enlightening and informative.
