#problematic ships?

Serious question to those who know much more than us and might have answers to this problem.

What do you do if you ship/like ships that are deamed problematic but with a reasoning like trauma reasons (or grewing up with one ship and shipping them because of specific trauma for whatever reason and might develop comfort from it) or when you just recently found out the real age/"problematic" thing from those ships, but still find great comfort from it because you been there for so long or big parts of the fandom simply dispise the ship (for whatever reason)?

We are so often scared shitless because of "What would people say if we tell them we like XYZ/ship it and think we are total creeps", going so far as too avoiding our special intrest and hobbys for years only because of those people. We would like to break free but are still so scared, does anybody know what to do in either case?

I definitely count Seija/Shin as abuse and manipulation, and really wierd to even consider imagining the victim forgiving and banging their abuser as a happy ending. I also count Mokou/Kaguya as sort of abuse based on their animosity and violence towards each other, but I can lat that slide a bit especially if people literally never looked at the wiki. They literally murdered eachother almost daily for 300 years.

Hm… I suppose, and I can understand. There’s nothing much I can say about Seija/Shin because I’m not familiar with them and I don’t know their story. I’m not at all, (sorry), fond of Kaguya so that ship is pretty eh. But yes, I’m not really into Mokou/Kaguya because of their grudge and Mokou/Keine is a solid OTP.
