It's not shipping the real people btw, it's simply shipping the characters/personas!
We as the Hermitcraft community often pose a "characters not creators" mindset when it comes to shipping!!
Like, as an example, Desert duo. We Scarian shippers ship the two little block men, Grian and Scar, that ran off to the desert togeather, had several duvorce arcs, and several healing arcs, together. We do not however ship the actual creators, Charles and Ryan. ....at least most of us don't 🫠 cant speak for everyone, but yk
As far as the hermits being okay with people shipping them, they're fine with it!!
They typically don't really acknowledge it and leave us to do as we please, but they're fully aware that it exists. Some of the hermits even like to tease at it to make the fandom panic *Cough cough* Bdubs *Cough cough*
And even hermits who were skeptical at first are fine with it now! Like at first Pearl stated she'd prefer to not be shipped, but then after she realized it was the characters and not the irl people, then she said she was fine with it!!
And with all the shipping stuff, we still tend to properly tag it in case hermits would prefer not to see it. Like if you ever see c!grian, that means character Grian, and cc!grian means irl Grian. So a majority of shipping tags will often be like; c!grian × c!scar, just to clear up any concern or confusion.
So yeah, the hermits are okay with shipping as long as it's the characters and not the creators!!
