I’m baffled i’m having to say this in this day and age but... please fucking learn fandom etiquette.
I don’t know why, but today seems the day of “Everyone’s going to shit or mock the ships you enjoy on the ship’s tag” and I’m fucking tired. You prefer the hetero couple over the gay couple and don’t headcanon a character the same sexual orientation as me? Great, don’t fucking tag the gay ship in your post.
That you prefer the gay ship instead of the hetero one? Cool, good for you, don’t tag the het ship that you dislike, or tag it as “anti x ship”. And this apply to all combinations.
I, for example, I’ve done 3 post complaining about queerbaiting in the new Evangelion movie and I talked about how I don’t like Kaworu/Rei and Shinji/Mari being endgame. And you know what I did? Not tag those 2 ships in my post. And you know why I didn’t tag them? Because fellas, just because I don’t like those ships or they’re my NOTPs, I’m not going to ruin the fun of those who do enjoy them. Is basic respect and politeness. I’m not gonna get in their sandbox when they aren’t bothering anyone.
I don’t know how many users I had to block today just because of that. Are you trying to start a ship war? Or are you so bored that you need to start drama by flinging shit at the ships you don’t like on their main tags just to anger some people and start a petty fight that’ll go nowhere? Bc I’m gonna be honest, that’s just pretty fucking stupid.
If you have NOTPs or ships you dislike like everyone does, rant as much as you want about them, but don’t put your posts and rants in their main tags or tag them as “anti ship”. Have some, even if it’s just a tiny bit, of common sense.
