So I went in for my consultation appointment today to get my IUD put in. I was gonna get a Mirena. So I talked to them and they were like “Wanna do it today?” and I was like uh I guess. So I had to get a blood test done to see if I was pregnant, which I’m not.
And I came back and the lady was like blah blah blah, sign this paper to okay the insert of a Skyla
And I was like Whoa wait wtf is a Skyla?
They were just gonna give me a different one with out talking to me, I guess. So I made the doctor come in and talk to me about it. He said the Skyla is smaller and has less hormones, and it’s only two years old and more expensive, but insurance pays for it, and they recommend it for people who haven’t had a kid yet. So I ok’d it.
And then 5 fucking people came in to watch me get this thing.
It hurt super weird and was mega uncomfortable and now I’m still cramping and I bled a little bit. Also, they had to dilate my cervix with a tool that I did NOT look at. But that hurt.
But I went to the store after to get dinner and bacon was on sale at the deli for half off, so I bought a pound.
