When your first words in the morning said out loud are "please, PLEASE don't make me knit this a fourth time" you're either a) going to spend the rest of the day frogging and reknitting it for the fourth time (I'm getting REALLY GOOD at Judy's magic cast on) or b) realize that it's time to just knit the whole damn thing as a test and stop worrying about getting it perfect.

I'm at that frightening moment during knitting where I look at the project, look at the rapidly dwindling skein, and try to remember how to math enough in order to reassure myself (falsely or otherwise) that I totally have enough yarn. Aka: "it's small, one skein will totally work."

Someone should probably hold my debit card for me because I’m doing the thing wherein I want to show my adoration for friends and make them things. Like, I’ve already hit the Overly Elaborate and Probably Impossible planning stage where I start cruising KnitPicks for the perfect colors and start figuring out how to change a certain pattern. I have LISTS, you guys. Lists with more than one project, with the appropriate colors I require, written down with an abundance of blind optimism. Gleefully ignoring how I’m the worst procrastiknitter ever and my speed and motivation are rarely a match for my exuberant love and care and adoration I have for the potential recipient.

Oh look, I'm actually working on something that isn't a square of garter stitch! I'm fed up with feeling crummy (it's definitely a fibro flare, though not quite as nasty as the Great Brain Foggening of 2014) and I'm fed up with seeing unfinished things all around me, so I'm using the two for good and not evil and actually working on these Green Thumb hand warmers. Maybe they'll be ready for next winter... (Does anyone know an utterly foolproof way of picking up stitches for a thumb that does not end up with huge gaping holes? I am good at a great many things, but a decent thumb is not one of them.)

You could make a blanket! Some nice mindless knitting! And if it’s not weird for me to suggest it, you could try the Harvest Cardigan by Tin Can Knits with that WotA! :D

It's not weird at all - I just looked at it on Rav and promptly printed it out hehe!  Looks like a muuuuch better first sweater knit than the Feb Lady.  Plain knitting?  Is perfect.  (Though now I sort of want to make a mitered square throw too, like my sock yarn blankie only worsted weight so that it doesn't take an entire lifetime and a large dose of my admittedly limited sanity to finish.  What was I thinking, attempting to knit an actual afghan with sock yarn?  I still have things that are bulky weight and considerably smaller in size that I can't finish.)
