Ienzo sat up straight in his bed in a cold sweat, his own arms grabbing at the ones that were holding his shoulders.
LET ME GO. I WON’T GO BACK.
He was yelling out, but the frightening images suddenly vanished and his eyes adjusted to the shadowed features of his own bedroom, and an older, gentler face than the one who was reaching to pull him into a pit of darkness.
That darkness.. It wasn’t real.
“M… Master Ansem,” he muttered, shakily. “Thank you...”
It was late, and Ansem was just checking on some things when he hears someone in panic. finding it from Ienz’sroom, he quickly opens the door before finding the boy was having a nightmare.
Being quick, he walks to the other’s bed and rests his hands on the young apprentice’s shoulders, gently shaking him to wake up. “Ienzo...Wake up Ienzo, wake up.” Instead, Ansem finds himself being grabbed as his fingers tighten up.
Once the other jerks away he shifts about to get a better look over the boy below. “Ienzo...” Ansem calls out far calmer and gentler than before. “It’s okay Ienzo, it is only a nightmare. It is just a nightmare, nothing more.”
Eyes their eyes meet, he sighs and gives the other a concerning look.
“Are you alright little Ienzo?”
Of course, he wasn’t alright, he just practically jumped out of a nightmare. Hearing thanks, the man nods. “Of course... Would you like me to turn on a light?”
