Risk (How it could be prevented?) (What Risk or problem it may cause?)

1. As we are using fire in some parts of our trailer we will be at risk of a fire outbreak, possible burns and other dangers. This will be prevented by using the correct PPE (personal protective equipment) when dealing with the fire and also having a fire extinguisher at the ready in case anything goes wrong. We will also make sure we are not using any fuel and that we are not in a secluded area or surrounded by any woodlands.

 2. We will be using a car so there will be a few dangers. An example would be if the car is to near the fire it could ignite the car or someone could be run over. So we will make sure the car is parked in a suitable place and that the handbrake is on to prevent the car from rolling.

3.The Weather, the problem we could have with the weather is if it rains, if it snows or if it is really icy outside. This could cause slips to fall over, maybe if a cameraman slips he could break the camera causing production problems or problems for himself. If our actors slip they could badly injure themselves.To prevent this we could avoid days in which the weather is bad, we could also check weather forecasts in advance.

4. Items falling in a warehouse or trip hazards could be seriously dangerous, they could fall and injure people causing disruptions within the production, it could also cause problems for the people who are injured. In order to prevent this from happening we could use warning signs, inform people involved in the productions what the problems are and how they can prevent themselves from the danger. We would also have a first-aider on hand just in case anything happens to go wrong.

5. We will be using a scene which involves smashing a bottle against a mirror. This could mean broken glass dangers and serious injuries for both actors and crew. This can be prevented by making sure we don't smash the glass to hard. Also by making sure we have a first-aider on hand in case of any accidents.

Location Scout- Film Traliers

Location Scout For: Burning Hollywood 

First Location Scout:  December 3rd 2013

Location: North West Kent College, Dartford, Oakfield Lane

Today I went on a location scout with Alex for a location for our film trailer which we are hoping to film after Christmas vacation. We found some really nice settings around the college. Conor our group director said to us that he would also look for some locations in some apartment blocks and warehouses in London. Here are a few of the locations we found yesterday on our location scout. 

Location 1: This would be a perfect location for the street in our film trailer- However I still want to look for other locations, more cinematic and darker locations as we are going for a dark film. 

Location 2: This was the first location I looked at for the scene in which our character Henry is smoking in an alley. This would of been a last resort location if nothing else was possible.

Location 3: When I came across this location I immediately forgot about location number 2 for the alley because this was so much better. I think that if filmed during the night this could be a very moody setting for the alley in which the character Henry Thorn is in outside the bar. I still have a few other locations in mind for this so I'll continue scouting for this, as we could do so much to make this scene look cinematic and beautiful.  

Location 4: This is a yard in which our character would run through I'm still not entirely sure what I want for this view but this is just a backup idea.

Our filming location is within North west Kent college, Dartford. An ideal location for some of our filming as it is easy to access and get to.

Facilities: The college has facilities in which our film crew and actors will be able to use. Restrooms, and a canteen, which will be used for breaks. And there are plenty of power supplies within the college buildings.

Travel: Travelling to college will be no problem, and the cost is not to much for both our film crew and actors/actresses. As we will be using people who already go to the college anyway it will not be to much trouble.

Power supplies: We will be only be needing a camera battery for most of the filming, we have decided to go for a more natural lighting. So power supplies aren't really necessary.
