You know, that was my first thought too! and part of why I think a split is unlikely to happen, because for sure a 4-2 split wouldn’t be viable. It’s already risky going half and half, and if even one person jumps onto the travelercon boat its gonna snowball into the full party going. (Not to mention the trauma the M9 have with not having their full team. Lose one member that way, and you get a bit shy about it, even if both sides have clerics and Revivify)  But also consider! Boats If anything was going to convince Nott to stay with the other party split, it would be the fact that this is an island adventure lol. She’s already shown the tendency to want to stay behind (even just by herself!) on those, with Caleb going, with danger for sure ahead (which as far as they know, TravelerCon won’t be guaranteed danger at least). So prevented with another viable option that’s not going to get shot down immediately...?

On the other hand! There is a major difference between hanging back for one or two hours and an entire month's worth of sea voyage. And she’s also gotten a lot better about it I feel, especially as long as its a strictly above water scenario, which you honestly kinda hope boats to be lol. There’s also the fact that she knows there's going to be pushback for her staying behind by herself, and I'm not sure how much she’ll go for it when it’s actually a viable option and she doesn't have the reason/excuse of keeping Kiri safe, or the chance to change her mind like in the swamp fight. She’s thrown herself into a lot of scary things to keep her family safe and doesn’t prioritize her safety at all when compared to everyone else in the party. I could maybe also see Caleb deciding to stay with the land party and switching out for Fjord if Nott was sure about staying behind. He is nothing if not attached to Nott as well lol, although I think he’d at least be torn about it. And then the party would have water breathing! (if not teleportation). 

Another major factor is we have no idea what the other job might be or how dangerous it would be, besides it being urgent. Most likely is maybe Essek’s favor as something that would require a super tight timeline? In either case, Caleb is ALSO protective of Nott, and probably isn’t comfortable with her off to face something dangerous without him! That’s his emotional support goblin mom dangit and he’s been a lot more consistent about refusing to run away from her when she’s in danger A Jester-Beau-Fjord and Caleb-Nott-Cad split also sounds pretty reasonable, and like a lot of fun! And maybe they won’t all die. At the very least having Fjord on the boat definitely feels a lot more natural, as much as I see him wanting to stick by Cad’s side a little longer. Maybe it would even be good at that point, for him to have space to explore his faith a little by himself, especially on the sea

This split is a liiittle more concerning party comp-wise lol, in that the squishy wizard is away from all of the people who like to get up in things face’s and make themselves the enemy's problem. Even Nott doesn’t have anyone to proc sneak attack for her! Let’s be honest, even though Cad and Jester are both clerics, Jessie’s a loooot more likely to get up in something’s face (and more liable to make it work too, badass battle mercy that she is lol).

As a side note, I’m also looking forward to the more-likely-canonically-fingers-crossed scenario of how the party is going to interact with Nott and large bodies of water now that the reason for her fear is more out in the open.

You think DC is better than Marvel?

Comic-book & character wise for me it’s Marvel all day. That’s just how it is for me, but as far as media, like movies and tv I don’t see one as being better than the other. They both have their strengths and their weaknesses and it changes for me. Right now I’m fucking with DC heavy cause personally ever since civil war the racism and anti-blackness coming from Marvel has really jumped out and pissed me off on several levels cause really the battle had to be in Wakanda proving they think black lives don’t matter, and then dusted all the main black people who have speaking roles and the ones they didn’t dust, are off-screen paralyzed never to be seen again, then instead of bringing Monica Rambeau to the forefront they skip over her entirely to get to Carol, and then erase her and change her name to maria like that is some shit that is okay and while promoting spiderman into the spider-verse let me ask you a question, HAS ANYONE SEEN SHAMEIK MOORE DO ANY MAJOR INTERVIEWS OR PRESS???? NO???? AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO NOTICED THAT???? It’s okay he just voices the lead that the movie is about whileJohn Mulaney who voices a fucking pig out here doin’ stuff, yeah okay. Like the blatant racism and anti-blackness is pissing me off, but i do think Marvel could be better if they stop handing shit to the Russo brothers. Like Black Panther and Thor: Ragnarok were and still are the best films to have come from Marvel so far and it’s because they let other people do something different so they need more of that.

Hmm, I have a lot of reasons why

They’ve honestly been given the best romantic development of all the canon ships, both Murphy and Emori are incredibly complex, interesting characters and they have an interesting relationship

Honestly 90% of the reason I ship them stems back to Rubicon where Murphy tells Emori not to cover up her hand because it’s badass and proceeds to make heart eyes towards her for the entire episode

Luisa and Richard are so talented and they have insane chemistry?! Like wow!
