Before I had a personal trainer...
My very first attempt at personal fitness was P90X.
I downloaded it for free and tried to stick to the pre-given routine. But I had a lot of setbacks. 1) Was the fact that I got tired (physically and mentally) of trying to keep up with Tony Horton when I didn’t know how to do majority of the exercises. 2) My bedroom was too small to do it there, and since I was living with my grandparents at the time, I was too embarrassed to try and workout in the living room while they were home. especially since I was using my laptop and my grandfather would bitch and moan about wanting to watch tv.
OVERALL It wasn’t a pleasant, or fulfilling experience. I didn’t see any change and I eventually deleted the videos and stopped trying.
So...If I have to make a point to all this, it would be that not everything you try will work and that’s okay. Eventually you’ll find something that does work for you, and instead of dreading every second of a workout that isn’t helping you, you’ll want nothing more than to keep improving yourself.
