All he kept seeing was her face. He had to hold her in his thoughts. She was why he was still fighting. He had to fight for her. He had to bring her home.
No matter what it cost.
It was only when he started seeing lines of code run across his vision that he knew that the surgery was finished. He waited as he started feeling him return to consciousness, granted it felt slow. He just had to be patient and let it run it’s course.

Engaging start-up sequence
Truth opened his eyes slowly so he could adjust to the light that was glaring about him. Soon, a familiar face came into focus. Granted the younger male had more grey in his hair, Truth couldn’t forget his friend’s face, especially with that solitary blue streak of hair. The younger male gave a smile as he saw the hunter begin to move and spoke.
“Good to see you waking up, sleepy head. How are you feeling?”
Truth moved his head and raised his hand. What was once flesh was covered in specialized cybernetic machinery. All sense of touch was gone from his right arm. He flexed his hand before he sat up to look at his legs. His legs were replaced with cybernetic prosthetics. He ran his hand over them before he got off the surgical table. He almost stumbled as he tried to stand, but he got his balance back quickly. After a moment he turned to the younger male and spoke.
“Odd, but not bad. Thanks for your help, Chott.”
“Don’t mention it. First could you do something about your vision. It’s kinda freaking me out a bit.”
Truth nodded and pressed a button on his helm near his ear. The plates of his visor and face plate split and slide back, showing his own face. Truth turned and saw himself in a mirror for the first time after his surgery. He looked like those other Projects that were running around, but his augments were different given that they were made by his friend. The hunter ran his hand over his chest and took notice of how much he changed.
His right arm and both his legs were fully cybernetic with his left arm only being covered in armor. From what he could tell, only his head, much of his torso and his left arm were the only things untouched. As he looked himself over, he saw what was once fiery red hair was now pure snow white. A side effect of his modifications.
“Thank you for this, Chott. I mean it.”
“Anytime.”
Truth turned and began to make his way towards the door, punching in the code.
“Truth. Before you leave, promise me again.” Truth turned to his friend. “Bring her back, please. Bring her home.”
Truth gave his friend a smile before he hit the button on his helm and his visor and face plate reformed, his vision coated in an orange filter. He then spoke to his friend, a smile still on his lips.
“I will bring her home.”
With that he, ran out of the door, the hydraulics sealing it behind him as he ran. He had a mission and he would succeed.
(( @crystals-angel I did a thing. :D))
