So I'm trying to become confident. This is not really a new goal bc I've been struggling with my insecurities and my social anxiety for pretty much my whole life, but for the first time I'm doing this for myself. I'm not trying to become confident to prove something to my family, my friends, or people who have put me down, I just want to be comfortable in my own skin. I want to be able to go out and not constantly wonder if I'm being judged, I want to make plans with friends and then not freak out and cancel them, I want to meet new people without having a breakdown afterwards, I want to be more honest about my opinion. I think people who don't know me extremely well will not see me as a very self conscious person, even though I am. I've always been good at acting, I have colorful hair and wear extravagant outfits, sometimes not even because i like them, but I wear my 80's blazer like an armour, that protects my insecurities from being visible. So I'm trying out this radical concept called "loving yourself". And sometimes it works out pretty good and sometimes, of course, not. But the thing is, I'm still trying. I'm still here. And I'm not gonna give up that easily.
