i don't need to redesign black manta for my universe because the peak black manta design already exists. young justice black manta pictured above. i will just be touching up his story to make his autism um. not be stupid. it will have narrative importance without being like that. (local man hates the feeling of bedsheets so much that scientists experimented on him and he became more evil. later they injected his brain with more autism so it cancelled out and he's not autistic anymore. you're kidding me????)

i forget that the world i have made for mera and arthur and david and orm is so vast and beautiful in my head that i can't just post about them because only ~one third of it is canon and the rest is a vivid hallucination. they don't even know about the kraken's murder representing the choosing of hatred over retribution...
