Day 4072 - Happy Citizen/Community Science Month! And Earth Month! I did a FeederWatch count today and got caught up on my last few weeks of data entry.
The Birdspotter contests have begun, and I will participate in a few again. The prizes there are gift cards for my favo bird food store, so it is always exciting to join.
Roland the Red-headed Woodpecker has the honor of being the first this season. If you like him, you can give him your vote (in top left box). This is a contest where you vote one time, so sharing is also helpful. Thank you❤️

(you can find the photo on the page also by looking for Ostdrossel or Roland, I tagged the entry with both)
Best thing to start a week with :D THANK YOU ALL so much for your continued support <3
This Starling surprised me with a full view of it’s interesting and magnificent tongue. I had never seen anything like it.
I have no idea why this preview doesn’t show my photo, but I entered the freaky Starling tongue into the last of the Birdspotter contests. If you like it, consider a vote :) Thank you and have a beautiful day!
Help the Grackle to win the Grand Prize!
Dear followers and fellow bird lovers, you have seen me participating in the Bird Spotter contest and helped me winning in one category, and now it's all about the Grand Prize! Me and the birds would of course love that :) You can help by voting for the "Grackle with a snackle". (I have no idea why the link preview is screwed up...) Thank you so much for all the support so far!
I am always amazed at the rich detail of the Starling plumage. They can test one’s tolerance, but when the sun hits them right, they look rather beautiful.
Too busy with work tonight, but I will post again tomorrow :) In the meantime, feel free to vote for my Starling entry in the next category of the Birdspotter contest. Have a great evening, world!
This Common Grackle surprised me in the summer bringing a moth as a snack when it came to check out the goods at the feeder. Even though sometimes regarded as bully birds, they are mesmerizingly beautiful and intense up close. There is nothing “Common” about this bird 🙂
Hi followers! I hope you are all having a good day. This is another shameless self-promotion, but these prizes look awesome and who doesn’t need more bird food? I think you have to be registered on the page, but if you are, I’d love your vote for the Grackle. To the person who suggested Grackle with a Snackle - thank you, as you can see, I heeded your advice for this awesome title :)
Day 4464 - Submitted my last weekly FeederWatch count for this season.
