I want a story about space pirates.

...No, not regular space pirates. I mean pirate radio stations, in space!

...Oh, that doesn't sound very interesting to you? Then take a look at these:

Those are two types of Maunsell Forts, defensive sea towers built during World War II by the UK. These forts had great names, like Fort Roughs, Shivering Sands, and Sunk Head! They were decommissioned and abandoned in the late 1950s... only for several to be taken over by pirate radio broadcasters in the '60s! And the story of pirate radio in the UK in the '60s and '70s is bananas. Some broadcasters on the forts fought actual battles with each other to control them.

O'Rahilly attempted to storm the fort in 1967, but Bates defended the fort with guns and petrol bombs and continued to occupy it.

He got off scot free, because this happened in international waters. Another guy got killed in a fight over pirate radio — though his death was ruled self-defense by the court.

So imagine this all in space!

After the Dominion War (Shadow War/Galactic Civil War), you have little Deep Space Nines/Babylon 5s/Imperial battle stations that are abandoned and get taken over by fucking SPACE DJ PIRATES. Who wage their own little wars against each other, while dropping sick playlists, as the authorities throw up their hands.

I think it'd be cool. It doesn't feel like a "me" idea though, so I probably won't write it myself. 🤷🏻‍♂️ If you do anything with it, please tag me?

so theres an extremely likely chance i end up making a full length skylanders fic featuring the ring of heroes kiddos very soon. not only have i become more free than i thought i'd be, but i realized just how much content i could make within it. its all just prequel stuff to my DND campaign, echoes of the core, and stuff that wont really be involved in the campaign. plus it'll give really good insights to the characters i'll be using in campaign and the kiddos themselves.

Esoteric Africana

“Esoteric Africana” is an art installation and exhibition inspired by wizard tropes, high fantasy, and my own mixed race lineage. It would take the form of several art pieces with the main focus on the installation aspect. Each piece serves as an ode to my own art journey and my experience experimenting in different mediums. 

In Esoteric Africana we walk into the lair of Oburogi, a wizard and diviner from another world in another time. One similar to ours but brimming with magic, monsters, and mysteries. 

Oburogi has pinned to the wall scrolls of three great creatures, each unique but familiar. Popo Bawa, a giant bat creature that sucks the souls of man in the night. Lukwata, a grand serpent-like dragon that stalks the great lake. And the mythical Nyeupe Kudu, the tall white antelope with glowing eyes and three horns. Each holds a key ingredient to the key to eternal life.

The garments of Oburogi sit in the room, a robe and staff adorned with stars and sacred symbols.

Oburogi’s Study is the central piece of the installation. A table cluttered with an assortment of items, trinkets, herbs, potions and scrawling notes in an unknown language litter the surface. Among the items a few gourds filled with herbs and glass bottles filled with experiments. This section of the exhibition serves as an interactive space where you are invited to look and touch various items. I plan for this space to look lived in, a space where you can imagine someone working, that feels like you'd expect the chair to still be warm if you sat down and worked in this space.

Working on basically separating my money from men and male related entertainment. Completely decenter men from my life.

That's books, magazines, brick and mortar stores, online shops, podcasts, music, anime, art, movies, comedy, youtube channels and as many brands as possible.

I want to see how I change following this. It's the same to me as the time I switched to only consuming entertainment that had at least 1 natural haired black woman in it while I was learning to love my hair.

I'm tired of male point of views, I'm tired of seeing myself in third person, I'm tired of "men going on adventures" movies, I'm tired of stereotypes, I'm tired of being sexualized for being alive, I'm tired of the conversations about what men are doing and thinking, I'm tired of the content around modern dating. I'm simply tired of being expected to love my most hateful enemy when I just want to be left to my own vices. I'm removing myself completely.

I'll need to make a data base of materials, which is a bit of a daunting task but very doable.

I just have to urge to make a necklace using like fake teeth and paint it rainbow. not sure if its cuase i listened to butchers vainity for and hour or if i'm thinking of my oc sunday, who has rainbow teeth.
