i'm honestly very happy with this art and their redesign

i wasn't planning on redesigning em today, but i made a crest for them and i just fell in love with the highly stylized depiction of their old design i decided to just make them resemble the crest

oh and just cause i can, here's the design with everything else toned down:

originally they had membranous wings but i always felt that was too Qu-like, so i like this alot more plus it makes them feel more advanced and junk to not have to flap their wings but instead just hover, adjusting the position of their "wings" to propell/sheer themselves

their wings are basically powerful electromagnets that uh.. use scifi nonsense to like actually work to hover them.. i'ma be so real, this more than likely isn't possible in any manner, but almost nobody can really correct me sooo.. i'm just sticking to it cause it's dope as hell, deal with it >:3

humanity kept their pets when they began venturing into the void of space, they weren't going anywhere

other intelligent species held similar sentiments, bringing their own alien pets along with them into the stars.. however due to differing evolutionary paths some of these pets were a bit odd to other species

and when humanity laid their eyes upon this alien pet.. they snickered as humans will always remain the same

while in-universe it was just a wild coincidence they ended up looking this sus.. i, the creator, did intend on them looking very similar to.. the male organ, so it only feels right i place it under the cut even if it's for the sillies

so i guess if you wanna skip that, skip it, but it really ain't that bad and i think they look cute

while they're most often called "Wooly Worms" or "Cuddlepillars", they have also earned some other nicknames by humans such as "Snugglecocks", "Fuzzydicks", and "Ticklewangs"
