What happens if this crystal is damaged? Pull it out? Will it affect their magic? Where did these crystals come from? Is this a natural feature???

They are more like a kind of magical birthmark so they can't really be taken out or damaged. But yes, they are connected to their magic

It's absolutely an ego thing, but I love the idea of making someone smarter than me dumb. Doesn't even have to be that traditional "oohhh sexual pleasure makes your brain all fuzzy" thing because what happens after? They sober up and are back to normal?

It would be so much more fun if I could just keep them like that. Maybe with some 24/7 pet play or manipulation. Maybe zapping them every time they think they know better.

I don't know, maybe it's best if they're all braindead 95 percent of the time. But still have that sliver of sanity left, enough to look at themselves with horror and confusion before delving back into it all again.

They do realise that Hoyeol's original line, 'I don't believe in God because there is no hard evidence that they exist, but there is also no definitive proof that God does not exist.' and his changed manhwa line, 'Is your faith in the Goddess so shallow that you will break down in the face of an inferior demon's manipulations?' carry fundamentally different messages, right?

The former urges others to make their own judgment regarding the existence of Goddess, while the latter is a typical line uttered by cult leaders to guilt-trips people into doubting their own judgement.

Which also meant that in the manhwa, Talim and many of his subordinates' future character developments had been shot in the kneecap, because what Hoyeol said to them is no different than what the not-Freyja had been saying all along to curb their doubts.
