I'm not really that romantic, but there are romantic things that have happened to me. So if anyone wants some fanfic prompts, sit down and i'll tell you some stories
One time in highschool a girl wanted to do the lip balm challenge with me. Basically where one person is blindfolded and has to kiss the other person and guess what flavor lip balm they're wearing. See, i love lip balm. My two main criteria for good lip balm is does it smell good and does it taste good. Which is why i don't mind spending a bit more money on it. The thing is, you would need several lip balm flavors for the lip balm challenge, and that kinda threw me off. I answered her with something along the lines of "What? No way! Do you know how expensive good lip balm is? Buying so much just for a challenge is wasteful!". TWO YEARS later i realized "oh shit that girl probably wanted to kiss me". And for whatever reason i was too preoccupied with lip balm economics.
Ooooh gooood this one makes my heart slightly hurt everytime i remember it. It was a rainy foggy day (very annoying) and i was in the city waiting at a traffic light. And there were so. Many. People. Both at the side where i was standing and at the other side too. And suddenly i see an old friend at the other side. It's been so long since i've seen her, we used to be so close but then life happened and we kinda drifted apart. Seeing her again made me so emotional though, there are so many things i wanted to tell her, i'm sure a lot has happened to her too. But i froze, overwhelmed with nostalgia, and didn't know how i would even start a conversation with her. The light turns green amd we walk towards each other, both of us walking alongside the respective crowds of people, and she approaches me, kisses me on the cheek, and walks away, disappearing into the masses again. I had to walk away too because there were just too many people and i would never be able to find her again.
Once i was stealing flowers from the local city park (don't ask why) and then went to rest on a bench, also to stuff the flowers in a bag. A dude comes up to me out of nowhere and i think to myself "oh shit i've been caught" buuuut...he asks me out on a coffee date?? My guy, you saw me steal something and you found that attractive? So obviously i rejected him, cause if i'll be in a relationship, somebody gotta have a conscience in that relationship, and god knows it's not gonna be me. The dude was super polite tho.
