I hope we get some heavy summer rain this year. Lord do we need it.

This was a favorite summer memory from last year. A sunset on a stormy day making the mesas appear dark and gloomy, a rainbow peaking through as some pronghorn peacefully graze on the green lush grass.

Edit: a rack is what you call the assortment of gear that sport/trad climbers (the ones who clip themselves onto a rock face as they climb rather than have a rope from the top holding them up) will carry on their harness. Idk anything about (non rock climbing) lesbians.

Pronghorn Antilocapra americana

Found in western and central North America, they are the only surviving member of the family Antilocapridae. Their closest living relatives are the giraffe and okapi. They are the fastest mammal in the western hemisphere.

Pronghorn (Antilocapra americana), male, family Antilocapridae, Fort Rock, Oregon, USA

Sometimes called the Pronghorn Antilope, they are not closely related to other antilopes.

The only member of this family.

The fastest land animal in North America, they can run up to 55 mph.
