a couple pronghorn faces from someone over on instagram. they were only interested in the skulls and were kind enough to send the skins to me instead of throwing them out! i’ve never handled a pronghorn skin before so i was surprised how large and fluffy they are!
they have a scent gland in their cheeks, which is easy to miss when fleshing because it looks no different from the rest of the skin on the surface. but once you cut into it it’s super obvious with all that fat and the pungent musky odor that is unleashed lol. it has to be completely fleshed out otherwise it won’t tan right and will stink forever
