ALWAYS re-read after the spellchecker and/or autocorrect have meddled with your copy. I would most certainly NOT want this mistake to have gone out on a post of mine!!!😱😱😱.

This is a sign by the road close to where I am currently staying and I couldn't help but take the photo! - It is a clear example of a company skimping on their translation/proofreading costs and doing it themselves, without enough knowledge (or possibly using an online automatic service). The English is translated, literally, from the Spanish.
How many non-Spanish speakers understand what they are trying to say?🤔🤔 . . .

🧠Brain - Brian - a small slip of the fingers... NOT something that would be picked up by a spell-checker or Grammerly - as both are correct words... But, they obviously do not MEAN the same thing, and it doesn't look professional to have typos in your copy.

Who else ALWAYS takes a book with them, no matter where they go... just in case you have the time to read it?

Sometimes you write what you think you want to say... and then realise it can be taken in a totally different way...
... and sometimes a straight translation is not quite what you want...
It's ALWAYS sensible to have your copy read by someone else... just to check that it really does say what you wanted, and is not ambiguous in any way ... unless, of course, you want it to be! . . . .
