eeeugugbgsh i feel the need to rant abt smth.

we proshippers/shipcourse neutral ppl rlly need to get on spreading the fact that proship LITERALLY just means you dont harass people abt their ships. bc im tired of feeling like i have to block EVERYONEEEE in the osc or other communities who have "proship dni!!!" in their intro or smth when they MOST LIKELY just think it means "ohhhh u like child x adult you like incest!!" like no u actually are misinformed! And even then, if you ARE a darkshipper (which is the ACTUAL term for what some people think is being a proshipper) as long as you only ship those sort of things within fiction. those characters ARENT REAL PEOPLE and so its fine!!!! I really think it should be widely accepted that you shouldn't harass people over what they ship, and just leave it to them and block THEM if you'd prefer not to see it- instead of all of us with that *very reasonable* idea having to block those who completely misconstrued it in the first place, for fear of getting cancelled or doxxed, attacked, sent hate mail, and brought to make our existing friends turn against us too. That's just not a risk i'm willing to take personally, and so i have to make that sacrifice but now i won't be there to educate those misinformed people either. Maybe at some point i'll make a blog for education purposes abt proshipping. as well as system stuff too if i find that to be smth i wanna focus on as well- bc from my understanding if you make a sideblog then even those youve blocked can see those posts.
