Tegneserie!
MY OTHER LOGO DESIGNS !
Here is all my other alternative choices for my logo below. I thought about adding a gradient to the logo to make the skyline of London pop I wanted to use the colours red white and blue as they represent the Union Jack which is the flag of the united kingdom I also experimented using block colours of just blue and red. Then I wanted to approach my logo with a scientific theme and link to Covid as the germ of Covid is green I wanted to highlight the London Eye which is meant to represent the germ with the colour green so people will link two and two together. With the different gradients I chose different directions such as horizontal vertical diagonal and I also done the Gradient in the shape of the Union Jack.
I also experimented with different logo ideas as you can see below the first thing that I done to create these logos was sketch different ideas from my brain onto an A3 bit of paper you can see my sketches below I was just brainstorming different things that link together including the London underground sign shape and the Covid germ shape also I thought about using typography and creating it into a shape that is iconic to London such as a London bus.
When I started producing them on procreate once I’d completed sketching and brainstorming I decided I wasn’t that keen on them as I didn’t want them to look to cartoon eyes and low quality that’s why I decided to choose a more sophisticated professional approach with my line drawing that is monochrome.
I think I’m going to stick with the monochrome colour if not I will choose the diagonal gradient logo or the highlighted green London Eye logo as I still want the logo to pop and grab audiences attention and fit in with the aesthetic of my artwork are used Pinterest to help me with the logo ideas and looked different London icons.
WEEK 5 EVALUATION !
Final major project weekly evaluations
Week five of my final major project has been a lot to do with workshops again and learning new techniques which could benefit me and will benefit me in the future as I have a broad skill base in different areas of graphics design.
This weeks workshops consisted of a typography poster workshop a double exposure workshop and an etching workshop.
Wednesdays workshop I created three posters focusing on the layout of typography and getting the theme of my posters through the type I created a poster that represented Piccadilly Circus and focused on the colours of blue red and black the second poster was focusing on simples Cathedral with the colours being red black and white and finally the third poster focusing on the London Eye and these colours dedicated to this poster with light grey black and white so I experimented with a lot of different colours and styles of font and layout which is benefit me as I have now a better understanding of how toPresent a poster with typography.
Thursdays workshop was to do with double exposure which is something completely different and we have never done this before at college not even in my first year which was exciting for me to learn this I followed a video that my lecture had sent me to work from home it was really helpful and I feel like my outcomes are really good I focused on Saint Pauls Cathedral, Westminster abbey and Big Ben The effects that I got from this workshop a really cool and I feel like the research that I did before helped me with the outcomes that I produced.
Finally Friday‘s workshop was about etching this workshop had a lot of problem-solving and improvisation within it as I had to find new ways to create the print effect as the print wasn’t going to plan this really helped me with problem-solving and learning a lot more about it and Learning new strategies I’m happy that I done this workshop it wasn’t my favourite but I’m happy that I’ve done it as it shows me doing problem-solving and I have shown this on my blog do you outcome where it went wrong which I feel like is a good thing .
Next week I plan to focus more on my final outcomes for my FMP but also focusing on research as well as it will be an ongoing thing that I will do throughout my FMP to show that I am researching and learning through different sources whether that be videos websites books magazines etc. But this week has been productive I’ve got loads of different outcomes done and I hope next week I have the same amount of outcomes done that I can show my processes via my blog also next week I hope to do some catching up on showing processes from previous workshops which will show people who have a look at my blogs how I created the outcomes that I did.
