"Don't touch her!"
Tsuki blinked in shock as Billy suddenly got between her and the guy trying to fight her. She didn’t really mind, she was feeling down anyway and the guy had been picking on her sister Tenaya so she saw no reason not to secretly put the hurt down but then Billy was there and she didn’t want him to know and she felt flustered. She blushed, blinking more. “Billy....”

“Where are you going? It’s not safe out there!”
Firefly looked down at Deckerd with a frown, "Well it's going to get any safer with me standing in here."
She turns her gaze through the slits in the lockdowned windows, there was danger out there, specific danger that was threatening to all cybernetic life, but was here specifically for her--more specifically, her spark.
"Don't worry about me, Deckerd. I have a very good track record of staying alive. I haven't died once."
💪
Myde squeaked outright as he was scooped up and suddenly carried away from the danger. Blinking a bit in confusion for a few seconds before looking up. “But I can help!”
‘Don’t you dare touch them!’ (from phil for a change up)

Night had fallen over Sawmill when the call for battle screamed over the base’s speakers. Rain had soaked the forrested base for three days and, in spite of the mountainous land around them, there was enough saturation to make things muddy and unpleasant for the mercenaries making their way to Respawn points. Lily tugged the hood of her jacket up, and mash-tested the treads of her bootenkhamuns into the floor–if she was going to be kicking mud around, she sure as hell wasn’t going to be caught with worn soles.
The order of the day was intel grab, and in spite of her hardest work it was difficult to get past the barricades BLU had set up. Still Lily pushed forward, and had nearly made it to the enemy’s stronghold again, when another body collided with hers. Half a face of mud and hair blinded the scout and, in a frantic bid to keep herself from meeting respawn too early, she discharged her scattergun as she scrambled to her feet.
Two steps. Three, four–
Searing pain erupted just above her left hip before she could even find her balance; Lily shrieked, warbling and panicked, as she fell hard back into the wet earth. Another voice, somewhere through the explosions and gunfire, yelled for her. She looked up, tears blurring what she could only assume was some kind of sword, but a second blow never came. Lily began to struggle to her feet again, a rough scuffle encouraging her to fight through the warmth flowing out of her.
“Lily! Lily, you alright?” Hands wrapped themselves around her arms, and the scout recoiled into herself. “It’s okay, it’s me. C’mon, we need to get you out of harm’s way.”
She recognized that voice–it was Phil. Pain and frustration tied up her throat, but his help wasn’t refused. Had he really turned against his own teammate for her sake? She managed to squeak out a ‘thank you’ before being made to sit on a crate, a healing kit skidding to a halt next to her.
“Fix yourself up,” he instructed. Phil grinned, offering a two-finger salute. “You can thank me later.”
Where did you come from?

“Not important right now. Are you okay?”
Despite the nearly growled question, Alex’s eyes never left the assailant in front of her, arms raised and prepared to fight. It’d been by chance that she was walking by when she caught sight of someone attempting to attack the doctor, and for a brief moment a flashback of the second time she’d met him, visibly injured, his knee dislocated, and other injuries she hadn’t even realized were there until she’d gone to heal him, had flashed through her mind.
After that, she’d given the situation absolutely zero thought before she’d rushed in, shoulder lowered to body slam the other human away from Gaster before he could attempt to get another strike on the skeleton in. It’d been ages since she’d actually gotten into a physical altercation with someone, but damn if she was just going to stand by and watch someone attack her friend.
The fact that her magic churned in her chest, desperate to also lash out, wasn’t helping her mood, though she managed to keep it at least mostly in check, giving no visible signs of the struggle she felt. All that was important to her right now was making sure this asshole didn’t get a second shot on the doctor in.
“You can hold onto me if you’re scared, you know?” He peered through his fringe as he spoke and offered a hand, palm up. "I won't tell. Promise."

He hadn’t realized he’d inched so close to Bakura in the dark; that must have been what tipped the other off to his unease. The two were currently exploring an abandoned structure on the edge of town. There were rumors of strange activity in and around it, and Yuugi had tagged along so that his friend didn’t go in alone, and at the time it had sounded interesting. But he had to admit....this place unsettled him.
Yuugi hesitated for a moment before taking the offered hand, “Okay....thank you.” he murmured.
“I guess I wasn’t exactly prepared for the atmosphere here...”
