The "keeping Magnus safe" plan

Thinking about how Alec would react to hearing/reading about stories where Magnus almost died.

(And thinking of his centuries of life, there must be quite a few of those) From friends like Cat, Ragnor (who is alive and I will accept no other), Raphael; shadowhunter reports from the archives, etc.

First, he freaks out.

Then, he makes a plan.

Thinking up counter-measure strategies for the situations that almost killed Magnus. (Even when it's unlikely that certain things will ever happen again)

Magnus: "Alexander, you know I appreciate what you are doing, but I highly doubt the 'in case of rogue catapult' plan will ever need to be enacted."

I am literally speechless.

I'll have a lot more to say later, I am sure. For now, I'm just going to re-live those moments on a loop.

  So I was rereading "Consequences of the Court" and...

I love protective Alec. Especially over Jace cause he is, as you say, a precious puppy. Also, I can totally see him bursting though Simon’s window, bow and arrow at the ready, just to realize that “Jace is asleep! Oh crap!” Ha ha.

...Yeeeah that last part a 100% happened the first time Simon and Jace had a bit rougher sex, because vampire-strength and such. Alec feeling the bruising through the bond and getting battle ready because someone was hurting his parabatai. And when he arrives at the boathouse, Jace is blissfully knocked out after sex and Simon’s just staring at his sleeping boyfriend in total awe and Alec realizes that oh by the Angel, Jace just had wild sex with Simon Lewis. Alec might need therapy after this.

Seriously though, writing protective!Malec is one of my favorite things about writing Jimon? It’s so precious? I mean, right after, Simon “I am so gone on this perfect beautiful Shadowhunter” Lewis being the most caring and understanding boyfriend who gives Jace all the time and space he needs to adjust to the notion of having feelings and of feelings not making him weak. Because understanding&patient!Simon is literally the best Simon there is?

Jimon is such a comfort ship for me, legit.
