Severus saves baby Harry from everyone who tries to hurt him (Dursleys, Voldy, Dumbledore(?)) :p.

~ Tried a digital fan art of one of my fave Snape category (which is protective/parental Snape :p)

~ The art itself is a bit shitty lol. Do you guys have any tips when it comes to digital art?

Do you think Severus is a jealous father with his daughter? You know, a boy in love with his perfect, beloved, innocent little daughter :3

Oh yes definitely!

He would threaten them and tell them what he was going to do to them if they got her pregnant or broke her heart etc every chance he got. There’s no doubt in my mind her boyfriend would drop his daughter off and walk into the living area where Snape is dicing up potion ingredients. He would make deadly eye contact with him with each slice showing him just what he is capable of and alluding to the fact that he could chop up his body so precisely that no one would ever be able to find all the pieces 😂

With each slice of his knife, Severus holds his eye contact with his daughter’s boyfriend, never once missing a beat.

“You’re ten minutes late,” he tuts, still slicing away.

“I apologize, sir. It won’t happen again.”

Severus gathers the ingredients on the blade of the knife and dumps them into the bubbling cauldron before he begins chopping up the next ingredient. It’s quite long and rather phallic in shape, he picks this one next intentionally. He wants to send a message.

“Do you see how good I am with a knife, son?” Severus inquires, his voice dropping half an octave.

“I do, sir,” the boy says with a loud gulp.

“I believe with skills such as these,” he says pausing his knife mid cut, “it could translate to areas other than potion brewing. Don’t you suppose?” He drops the knife down with a loud thud, finishing the slice.

“I assume so,” he says slowly and wide-eyed.

“Smart boy,” he tuts. “It would do you best to not be late again. You better tread carefully with my daughter,” he snarls.

“Of course, sir,” the boy responds.

“Good. It’s late, your parents might be looking for you. Goodnight boy,” he says, returning to his fine slicing.

you can say what you want, but snape's intention was always to protect harry and the other hogwarts students.

Warnings: Implied violence and murder threats. Protective Severus. Teacher x Student relationship.

“Awfully protective aren’t we, Severus?” The man smirked towards the teacher and student, slight amusement on his features despite there being a wand at his throat.

“Awfully chatty today, aren’t we?”

The death eater let out a small chuckle, genuinely enjoying the panicked look on Y/N’s face.

“Well, it’s not every day a secret like this comes out, is it?” He chuckled, platinum hair falling down his face, despite being held hostage in a chair too small for his large frame.

“I could do it; you know?”

“You wouldn’t,”

“Give me one good reason why not.”

He seemed to think for a moment, almost worried that the wrong word would send the potions master over the edge.

“Well, you don’t want to give your little girlfriend over there a fright, do you? Mind you, she has seen a lot,”

His words seemed to simply anger Severus more as he pushed his wand further into the mans, whose name Y/N did not know, neck.

“What is he talking about Professor?” Despite her best efforts at feigning innocence, they both knew that it was in vain.

“Drop the act, Y/N. He knows, there’s no need to hide it.”

“Oh dear, Severus. Teacher dating a student, I’m sure that won’t go down well on your record. What would you do if I told Dumbledore?”

“How can a dead body speak?”

The tension was almost unbearable. It felt suffocating. There was nothing but pure venom in the teachers’ voice as he spoke; his words weren’t threat, they were promises: if he kept talking, he would kill him.

“Severus,” Y/N voice was quiet, almost unheard when she placed her hand on his upper arm, somewhat managing to enjoy the way he melted into her touch, despite the situation at hand. “Leave it for Dumbledore,”

“Isn’t she a sweet one, I can see why you like her.”

It was at that moment that the headmaster burst through the door alongside Professor McGonagall, a second after Y/N’s hand fell from Severus’s arm; nobody saw and they were still a secret, only this time somebody knew.

13. I think Snape is very protective of his Slytherins. I mean, these are kids who are being tarred with the reputations of their parents and previous Death Eater Slytherins before they even do anything themselves. He lets them know what they're in for, and does his best to protect them. From the poor treatment by other houses, from the lure towards the dark side, from their own demons. Yeah, he's part parent, part teacher, part antihero

13: How do you think Snape treats his own house?

I share this headcanon. It is this headcanon that inspired me to write Snape's Snakes. I am going to be posting more of that hopefully.

I kind of like Snape to be a very gruff yet practical kind of father figure towards his Slytherins. Like he doesn't go around hugging them or anything but he'll try to help them where he can. Also if a Slytherin hugs him when they're upset which has happened before especially with the younger years he will sort of rigidly pat their back before pushing them away and be super embarrassed but try to cover it enough by being a grumpy person.

don’t imagine harry wincing when his back connects with the back of a chair and couch, forcing him to move towards the edge because the lashes on his back are still fresh from summer.

don't imagine harry refusing to hug people because he doesn't want them to feel his ribs poking them.

don't imagine harry forcing himself to not flinch when someone, so much as lifts a finger, but ultimately failing because all he can think of is being beaten unconscious.

don't imagine draco, blaise, and pansy noticing all of this, but ron nor hermione even noticed something was wrong to begin with.

don't imagine fred and george always walking with harry wherever he goes and subtly forming a barrier between him and the stares of hogwarts.

don’t imagine snape appearing on 4 privet drive, little whinging and knocking down the door because no one would answer, only to enter a completely silent house.

don’t imagine snape opening the 54 locks and latches on the door to the scene of a shirtless harry potter, hundreds upon hundreds of lashes, bleeding profusely, scattered all over his back.

don’t imagine snape rushing to harry and immediately apparating them to madame pomfrey.

don’t imagine the look of horror on madame promfrey’s face when she sees harry.

don’t imagine that after hours of madame pomfrey and people from st mungos working on harry to save him, she comes out to tell snape.

don’t imagine snape breaking down in tears because harry potter is dead.

don’t imagine snape storming into dumbledore’s office and screaming at him are you happy now?! the boy is dead. just like your prophecy foretold. only, it was his relatives were the ones that killed him. the same exact ones he’s told you before about how they treated him.

don’t imagine fred and george hearing the news and bursting out of class and heading to the hospital wing.

don’t imagine them each gripping one of harry’s hands and sobbing because their little brother is gone.
