Special circumstances: sprites.
As of late, some special circumstances have been confirmed.
In the event that a sprite has been Prototyped only once, they can Prototype with even a double-Prototyped Sprite to become a sprite^2. By this reasoning, it may also be possible to merge all of a session's sprites into one if none of them had been tier-two Prototyped yet, raising the exponents and causing the new sprite to flicker between all their original colors. Interestingly, if a player is square-Prototyped, even if it was as their God Tier or Awake Self, their Dream Self's clothing begins show through in their new form, which also manifests the player's original legs from the ghost tail.
Further, an alternate version of a player who hadn't played but has been Prototyped, even a pre-Scratch self, is capable of unlocking the same powers as the player version of themself. This may, however, may only be after meeting their other self that the game recognizes the sprite version as a duplicate of the same player, and therefore allows those powers to carry over.
As a final note, sprites seem to get lost track of after the sgame they were made for has been completed. It unclear whether they simply move on or if they cease existing after their life purpose is completed. One known exception to this could be ARquius, but this may or may not be because of the future with Lord English he is bound to.
