Finished this hoop cross stitch piece and I’m really proud of it (and my sexuality 😝)! Just need to find somewhere to hang it 😊

#Love Yourself
Growing up, it was difficult for me to address my sexuality with others especially my parents and friends. I was ashamed to admit that I am bisexual, because I wanted to fit in like everyone else and not be judged by who I love, so in high school I forced myself to only look at guys and it was the most weirdest phase in my life. Once, a guy asked me out and I knew I wasn’t interested in him, but I said yes anyways. Society’s conventions and views on LGBTQA+ makes it hard for teens and adults alike to speak out about their feelings and to address them. Times are changing and we’re making progress, but it’s not good enough. If everyone isn’t included, what is the point? Lately we see people commit acts of hate, but where has the love gone? We are all valid and it’s our human experiences that shape who we are and become, not by our differences. Thanks to Tumblr and my internet friends, I’ve been able to come to terms with my sexuality and feel comfortable in my own skin. This year, I plan to come out to my parents and my friends as a bisexual. Wish me luck! I love you, Tumblr community! 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈👫👭
Happy #BiVisibilityDay! Rant time
So I love my man, I do. But he has it in his small-town head that I, a proud bisexual, am no longer queer because I am in a straight relationship. He also believes that trans people are not valid.
I would like to talk it out with him but he’s extremely stubborn. Help?
Warmed my heart at my first pride ❤
