It was my former colleague’s Facebook post about a job opportunity over three years ago that changed my life forever. Back then I was in no rush to get a new job after spending some time in the banking industry. I had no expectations. I just brought myself to the Open House and finished that Final Interview without expecting a call. Or so I thought. Unbeknownst to me it was the spark that ignited my future’s run for better career growth and personal development. Something a young professional like me would crave for. I became part of the Quote to Cash Operations Americas (formerly known as Sales Transaction Support) and from there, I have gone through several transformations that defined my career in IBM. Every day that I walk the premises is like coming to school. Every encounter with my job is a new lesson to absorb. It was never easy but it was through sacrifice, perseverance and determination that brought me to where I am today thanks to the people who helped me in so many ways and shaped my perspective to always aim for the best. Working for IBM has opened so many windows of possibilities and chances to grow professionally and personally. And it’s all because of that fateful January afternoon that changed my life forever. Now I treasure every single blessing I continue to receive and I’m happy that I am able to give back and share what I learned throughout my entire stay.
