I never thought that Pork Belly Adobo would taste soooooo gooooooood with Laing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It did not disappoint. I’m a big Adobo fan but not so much with the latter (I had a bad experience). August 13, 2019. My manager and I were on our way home in a Grab car after a tiring yet fulfilling shift. He asked me how the day went— how my day has gone— without our then-Advisor Pro who was taking her seven-day long vacation; and with me as an acting one. I replied to him as honestly as I could and out of nowhere, he asked what if he offers me the role. I was taken aback for a few seconds and of course, said yes. After almost a month of waiting for the result of my application for the role, I finally, officially snagged it. Her absence was an acid test for me. It gave me the chance to handle and manage a team for seven days. It was taxing to say the least, but personally it was something I enjoyed. My composure during those tough and crunch times as well as my limits was put to the test which I think I passed with flying colors. I have never handled a bunch of people in my entire career and today, it is officially the day I’m hopefully going to change somebody else’s professional career. Just like what several amazing people did to me under their wings. I hope to create a squad of people so solid I don’t have to supervise them because they are empowered enough to do the right thing to keep our team going.
