as the brunette read over the task once more, she thought about what exactly she could do. it had been a long time since she participated in community service, the days of high school flooding her mind immediately but those days were long gone. now, she put down the letter on her desk in place of her phone, beginning to research where the nearest animal shelter was. it was what she always used to do back home especially because the amount of love she had for animals was great. the times she almost adopted a few dogs too many was proof of that so, she figured it would be a breeze here. and once she discovered one, she slipped on her worn pair of black Vans with her bag on her shoulder and left her room, skipping a little.

now, it was only the matter finding someone who wanted to take time of their day to go with her. like before, except this time would be different – maybe. her small fingers wrapped around the strap of her bag tightly, searching the house for anyone that would be available for the day. and just as she thought her luck was running dry, she found an individual in the comfort of the living room in the midst of whatever they were doing. "hey!" she chirped, praying she didn't scare the person off. she bit her lip momentarily, pushing the hair from her face before continuing. “do you wanna go to the animal shelter with me for some volunteer work? i can't promise you much but if you do this for me, i'll buy you food or something.” her voice was nearly hopeful as she stood before them, the smile that captured her features was soft yet bright.

anastasia was on top of the world. she went from opening for beckett on tour to headlining her very first tour all in the span of two weeks. she wasn’t sure if she was supposed to call that luck or good timing, but she was quite literally living at the moment. she didn’t think she would have ever gotten this far without having a little faith and patience. anastasia couldn’t believe that people were actually spending their hard earned money ( or their parents’ hard earned money ) in order to see her on stage, singing her little lungs out and dancing in what some people liked to call death traps. anastasia loved the energy that was in the audience and she loved that people were there to see her, and it warmed her heart that olivia had agreed to go with her. she wasn’t really sure of who to ask, but the two of them seemed to have hit it off as friends, so why not ask her for a little help?

they had the day off in charleston, and anastasia was already loving the scenery. palm trees were everywhere, the beaches were beautiful, and she couldn’t help but get a little homesick. she missed being at home and she missed seeing her brothers, but they had their lives and she had hers to. it wasn’t like she never spoke to them -- she’d get on facetime with them as much as possible, knowing that their time was completely off from hers. she would be getting ready to go to sleep while they were probably getting up to go to their classes. since they had the day off, anastasia’s morning had started pretty early as she decided to go and get breakfast and even go to the fitness room, almost as a way to clear her head and get her ready for the last stop of their tour the next day.

after she showered and blow dried her hair, anastasia pulled her straightener through the dark locks and styled it into a half up/half down fashion, pulling out a few baby hairs to frame her face. after finishing her makeup and moisturizing her skin, she went over to her luggage and pulled out some clothes, choosing something comfortable since it was pretty warm out. she decided on a simple black spaghetti strapped romper with a long and loose grey cardigan. she changed quickly and paired the outfit with her clean white converse, adding some gold accessories and her favorite pair of round sunglasses from quay australia. putting everything she needed ( keys, phone charger, key to her room, and a few other things ) back into her purse, she sprayed some of her perfume and went to olivia’s room. 

walking down past two rooms, the brunette went to the other’s room, setting her sunglasses on top of her head and knocking on the door. she was ready for them to go out and explore the city, knowing that they had some good seafood around there that she was really wanting. she hadn’t had shrimp in so long that she was about to explode. knocking on the door, anastasia waited for the other female to open the door. “please tell me that you’re ready because i’m prepared to stuff my face at this crab boil i found online.” @tbfholivia

☪ city lights laid out. » octavia & leila

the first show in the district of columbia had run as well as they had rehearsed, if not better. now in the city that was notoriously known for its political vengeance, leila couldn’t help but feel the ever-present curiosity of what more each city they stopped in had to offer. it was the morning after their second show, the clock on the bedside table read ten thirty a.m. as the young artist awoke to rays of sunshine streaming in through the parted curtains. she had no idea if octavia had already woken up or not, but as everyone in the prove house was well aware, leila halabi was far from a morning person, words could not be spoken to her before she had ingested the least bit of caffeine or food. as if on cue, the blonde made a beeline for the kitchen where she clicked down on the instant coffee maker, deciding to make extra in case her tour partner was looking for a wake up call as well before she made her way to the bathroom of their suite where her small dog awaited her at the door of the bathroom. “hi blue, hi baby.” the words came out in a lullaby tone as she scooped the animal into her arms and continued into the washroom. 

hearing more barks from inside the suite, leila assumed octavia was awake or at least her dog was as she made her way back into the main room of the suite. “good morning !! ” the girl exclaimed at the first sight of the raven haired beauty. “what do you wanna do today ?? i was thinking we could start on pennsylvania avenue  – touristy, i know, but get this, i read in this lil pamphlet thingy,” as the excitement rose in her voice she held up the pamphlet that was laid upon the marble counter of the suite kitchen before she turned her attention back to octavia, “that there’s a bunch of shops and cute lil stands on that street and we might even see obama !! do you think we’ll see him ? that would be so cool to see him, i love him, don’t you love him !? “ at the sound of the coffee maker beeping to indicate her coffee was done, the blonde turned on her heels, grabbing the first mug in sight and beginning to pour the dark liquid. “oh ! we could also go to the museum ! i bet it would be really cool, i mean, theres cool stuff at museums, right ? ooh an-and there’s those wax museums that have every single american in there ever. we’ll see what we’ll do at night but i think during the day we can do casual touristy stuff and theres a dog park really close to penn. ave so we can take the children there.” her voice mimicked a low tone as she made fun of the last word that escaped her mouth, finally cutting off her rambling to take a rather lengthy sip of the coffee in her hand.

on the road again

sacha was buzzing with excitement as the van drove down the highway towards the first stop on his tour. he had decided to invite chase with him, knowing that she would appreciate the experience. and it would add a little bit more diversity to the show. he knew that it would be a little difficult for her to be an up and coming artist in this industry and being different from a lot of other people in the business, and he understood that. he had gone through that a few months back when he was forced to come out. thankfully chase hadn’t experienced anything to that degree, and sacha hoped that she wouldn’t have to. no one should have to experience that kind of attention; that kind of press. it had gotten so bad that sacha had considered leaving prove altogether, but he knew that he couldn’t do that. it wasn’t an option for him. he had made it so far, he wouldn’t throw it away just because he hit a little bump in the road. 

he glanced over at chase, his hand playing with the necklace around his neck that his parents had sent him two weeks prior for christmas. even though they didn’t celebrate the holiday, they still sent him something because he had done the same for them. maybe he would be able to convince them to give the celebration a chance. there were plenty of muslim americans who took a part in the festivities. “are you excited?” he asked, talking after what seemed like a stretch of silence that lasted since they had left the prove house. that wasn’t true, of course. no offense, but chase couldn’t go that long without talking. it was probably impossible for her.

make an event of it

parties had never really been sacha’s thing, especially after the first official party he had been to back in high school, but this was an invitation that he couldn’t turn down. being personally invited to an all white party by just jared himself was the opportunity of a lifetime. it meant that he was really moving up in the world, and there were things that he needed to do to put himself out there. being an introvert wouldn’t help further his career, not by a long shot. if he were being perfectly honest, sacha was surprised that he made it this far. even tough he had the talent and he had the drive, he lacked the charisma. he wasn’t the type of person who could walk into a room and grab everyone’s attention. sure people would look at him and maybe give him a second glance because of his pretty face, but aside from that, he was easily overlooked unless he was singing. that was probably when sacha was his most comfortable.

when he had received the invitation and was asked to bring a plus one, he knew immediately who he wanted to ask. although he would have loved to bring cam, anastasia was his first choice because they hadn’t really had the chance to hang out before outside of the mansion. they had a lot of things in common, and he wanted to spend more time with her. she was honestly one of his favorite people in the house, which was saying a lot since he could say with utmost sincerity that he had come to love everyone in the house, even the new people. sacha was a really sensitive and emotionally aware kind of people, so it wasn’t difficult for him to become attached to people without knowing them for long periods of time. 

after giving ana her invite, sacha spent hours before the event tearing apart his room, trying to find something to wear. he had plenty of articles of white clothing, but he had no idea how he wanted to wear them or put them together. it might have been trivial or silly to some, but this was sacha’s first important event, something that would be splashed all over magazines and online articles. he had to look his best, he couldn’t go looking like a slob. especially when anastasia would be there with him. she always looked her best, and he couldn’t look like garbage next to her. when the two of them had their outfits together and sorted, they were driven to las vegas and dropped off at the hotel where they would get dressed and ready for the party.

since the party wasn’t scheduled to begin for a few more hours, sacha decided that he would touch up the blond in his hair, something that he had asked anastasia to help him with. “okay, so it says that we have to leave it in for at least twenty minutes and then we can wash it out,” he glanced at the clock. “which gives us more than enough time to get dressed and get out to the car so we can make it to the party before ten.” he smiled at her, “are you excited?”

fools ➥ ft. hakeem

From the day Lennon got here, he had planned to fuck around Hakeem, and yet, here he was -- still without the other man fucking him. It was a shame, really, but suppose that’s what happened when you waited around for a specific day. Though, now finally back at the mansion from the holiday, Lennon decided he’d jump on the opportunity to just go to the man’s room rather than waiting around to be taken by surprise. Sure, being caught off guard would create some sort of rush, but he figured this wouldn’t be too far off. He wondered if things had changed -- if Hakeem had even fucked a guy yet. If he had, the green eyed male would be certainly disappointed, but in the end, it didn’t quite matter too much. And, it certainly wouldn’t make him stop from his goal anyhow.

So, Lennon dressed himself in a somewhat appealing, somewhat lazy outfit of a half way buttoned down shirt, and some rather fitting skinny jeans. He didn’t go out of his way to do much, considering both his outfit and hair would more than likely be fucked up anyway. Instead, upon the confirmation of Hakeem being in his room ( although Lennon didn’t mind taking it elsewhere ), Lennon left his own and made his way to Hakeem’s. Once in front of the door, he knocked upon the surface with his fist, awaiting for the door to open but not planning to speak all that much.

merry christmas, darling

funerals had always had more of a negative impact on sacha than it did for most people. even though he wasn’t particularly close to his grandparents on his father’s side being back in pakistan and having to sit through the funeral took a lot out of him. being around all the sadness and mourning had permanently soured his mood, although he tried not to show it. it was the christmas season, and he didn’t want to bring down everyone else’s mood. he was in no way a grinch, and he didn’t want people to think that he was. 

even though he and his family didn’t celebrate christmas, he was excited to be around a bunch of people that did. it gave him a reason to go out and buy presents for all of his friends in the prove house. even though he wasn’t close to all of his housemates, he wanted to try to get everyone something special and something they could all use. he had gone a little bit overboard with some of the presents, but then again, sacha wasn’t really good when it came to moderation, especially when buying things came into the equation. plus, it wasn’t like all the people that he bought things for didn’t deserve every penny. 

compared to everyone else, cam’s gift was the one that sacha put most of his heart into. it was something that he knew that cam would love and appreciate, and he was more than happy with the two things he bought for him. he had ordered them months ago, so that he had the time to have them customized and engraved. they had just been finished a few weeks before christmas arrived and he had been hiding them in his room ever since then. 

now was the time that sacha could finally give cam his presents. “c’mon tank, you can sit up here while cam and i talk,” he mumbled, picking up the tiny dog from the edge of his bed and gently placing him closer to the top, near his pillows. the dog huffed and rolled around a few times before cuddling up against his pillows. now all he had to do was wait for cam to arrive, which he should have been at any second.

happy little pill ↳ ft. beckett

it was slightly baffling to why lennon found himself being one of the first things to do back at the mansion is to... hang out with beckett. with all people. sober, on top of it. though he half hoped for the blonde male to be fucking himself up while babisitting a dog, merely so he didn’t have to risk saying anything stupid without something to blame beside himself. he tended to get angry with the other -- and, after the previous night, lennon was rather worn out on fighting over pointless shit. he tried to comes to terms with the fact that beckett’s addiction didn’t matter to him -- it wasn’t his problem. and whatever the fuck chase was going through wasn’t something lennon should worry about either. so, instead, he’d invest himself into this tiny, probably idiotic creature. don’t get him wrong though, as most people -- he can’t help but have a soft spot for animals. even when some pups are rather stupid. 

pulling a tank top over his torso, and reaching to tug jeans onto his lower half -- lennon decided that he probably should actually get dressed for the occasion. perk though being, he sure didn’t have to impress. giving out a yawn due to having little to no sleep the previous night, lennon found himself in the kitchen as a pit stop -- grabbing chips, cookies, and anything else upon Beckett’s request before heading to beckett’s door -- sending a knock with his foot against the surface.
