Proverbs 26:10 Putting Out A Fire
Where there is no wood, the fire goes out; and where there is no talebearer, strife ceases. Proverbs 26:20 Building a campfire and sitting around it to roast marshmallows is a favorite relaxing thing for many to do. Once one is able to accomplish getting the fire going, it only takes continually adding a little wood to keep it going for a long period of time, even indefinitely. The moment a…

Proverbs 26:20 ~ Fire goes out without wood, and quarrels disappear when gossip stops.
Proverbs 26:20 ~ Fire goes out without wood, and quarrels disappear when gossip stops.
What You Can Gain in Gossip....
2 Timothy 2:16
Avoid godless chatter, because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly.
Whenever we gossip we are only subjecting ourselves to worthless activity. Think about it, what good will gossip do to our lives? Gossiping will only slow us down in our Spiritual race. There is nothing beneficial in gossiping, it will only cause you to stumble and become a stumbling block to others.
Proverbs 26:20
For lack of wood the fire goes out, and where there is no whisperer, quarreling ceases.
So if we avoid Godless chatter then quarreling would cease. Instead of gossiping we should focus more on our spiritual growth, by doing so we will be able to glorify God. People who are focused on doing God's work are those who speak the very words of God, for God's words are beneficial to all of us.
1 Peter 4:11
If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
That's why worthless talk should be avoided because by indulging in this activity we only create stumbling blocks for ourselves and to others. We will gain nothing good from it.
Matthew 12:36
I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak,
Like one who takes off a garment on a cold day, or like vinegar upon soda, so is a singer of songs to a heavy heart.
