It's a good day. I thought that since my old 11.5 inch round loom had broken, I'd need to buy a new one. Happy Halloween!

Halloween isn't one of those occasions that I make cards for but I did make this pumpkin get well card for someone who has a surgery date scheduled right on Oct. 31st this year.

Happy Bee-lated Birthday

I felt like a cad for missing my friend's bday that happened at the end of September. I made her this belated birthday card, as well as a set of all-purpose cards as a gift.

Every morning when I check my email, I'm greeted by a tonne of emails from bargain sites like Groupon, Team Buy, Living Social, etc.  I have bought a few deals in the past, mostly for restaurants but imagine if I had seen a Groupon deal like this:

DT Entry

One of the blogs that I follow religiously, The Pink Stamper, is having a call for design team members so I thought I'd whip up this card for my entry.

Here are the rules: 

Challenge:  Make a card, scrapbook page, or other Cricut project with your favorite Cricut cartridge using the following colors - orange, turquoise, green, brown, other optional color of your choice.

And my recipe:

This card is 5 1/2 x 4 in size.

Yellow layer cut to 5 1/4 x 3 3/4 size.

Turquoise layer cut to 5 x 3 1/2 size and Cuttlebug for texture using Diamonds in the Rough folder.

The dino guy is cut at 2 1/2 from Create a Critter cartridge.  I used a piece of pop up foam behind the dino to give dimension to the card and a googly eye to make him cute.

Happy Bday sentiment is cut using Happy Birthday die.

Green and purple pieces were just scrap I had lying around. 

Voila - dino birthday card!  Rawr!

Inspired by...

I've been on a real yellow and gray colour combo kick lately and when I saw this adorable wedding cake by Berliosca Cakes, a bakery from Vancouver, BC:

I was inspired to do a wedding anniversary card:

The couple is cut from Sweethearts cartridge, the moon is from Create a Critter and the clouds are from Hello Kitty.  I cut the stars using a Cuttlebug die (Snowflakes).

Happy 9th Anniversary to M & L!

Sweet Birthday

A birthday card for my friend.  I used the Sweet Treats cartridge and broke into paper that I save for special occasions.

The blue background is from Core'dinations Gem Stones Collection and the ice creams were cut with Core Couture.  Super cute.
