In burger form, you can enjoy the tastes of a Philly cheesesteak. These juicy burgers are a tasty take on the traditional sandwich because they are filled with sauted onions, peppers, and melted provolone cheese.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 1 onion, thinly sliced. 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced. 4 slices provolone cheese. 4 hamburger buns. Salt and pepper to taste. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika.
Instructions: In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add sliced onion and bell pepper, saut until softened, about 5 minutes. Remove and set aside. In the same skillet, add ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. When the beef is cooked, return the sauted onions and peppers to the skillet, mix well. Place a slice of provolone cheese on top of each burger, cover the skillet, and let it melt for about 1 minute. Toast the hamburger buns until lightly golden. Assemble the burgers by placing the cheesy beef mixture onto the bottom half of each bun. Top with the other half of the bun and serve hot.
