Amma is definitely mom in a bunch of Southasian languages, including Hindi. Nani is maternal grandmother, but there can be some overlap? Like, I call my maternal grandma Nani-ma (ma being another word for mother). My guess is, they probably do speak Hindi unless another dialect has been specified?

I’ve watched through episode 6! I will try to marathon but I also have my two final projects due at the beginning of next week, and then Wiscon at the end of it.
