In memory of flight PS752.
In a few hours, two missiles will be shot to a civilian airplane and it will cause 176 + 1 ( a seven month old fetus ) people's murder.
You see one of our own armed forces shot down a civilian airplane. There were Iraninas, Canadians, Ukrainians, Afghans and other nationalities in that plane. Students, scientist, professors, kids, people. Some of them were newlywed couples, going to Canada, away from Iran, to make a new life.
And for three days, this armed force denied shooting this plane.
176 + 1 people
Going back home
Doing their job as aircrew
Going after theire dreams
And it all stoped
We don't forget, we don't forgive

I found out last night from my husband that a lot of universities in Canada lost someone in the crash, and for some reason that’s hitting me even harder than the fact that it was such a horrible crash to begin with. (Although CBC is listing 63 as Canadians in the headlines, they clarify that those are only the Canadian citizens that they’re counting.)
This week has been heavy and has left my heart empty. I am learning to grieve this week. Grieve the researchers we lost at my university that were on board the PS752. Grieve the graduate student who was 23 and passed away on January 1. I attended a visitation and a memorial this week. It has been hard emotionally. I have deadlines to finish and I’ve been trying to keep busy and keep the emotions to a minimum. Tonight (Friday night) is my first night in a week of being able to just sit and relax. And the feelings are coming up, just the way this has changed my perspective and has affected me. I’m allowing myself to just relax tonight and lightly work on a deadline.
My sleep schedule has been okay but I’ve been dreaming very vivid nightmares. I’m the kind of person who always feels very deeply, and I’ve been feeling it this week but am allowing myself to feel this.
The hurting will pass. The memory of these people will never be forgotten.
It's dumb as hell to fly over Iran right now.
In loving memory of the victims of the PS752 flight
