Hi, I'm sure you get asked this a lot but so here goes, I want to learn how to read tarot cards except there are so many tarot decks how do you choose, or how do you know which one to take I mean go on a gut feeling? if you still don't know do you create your own set? and is there one shop that sells all the different variety of spreads?
Well there are a ton of different decks to choose form. there is the popular Rider Waite tarot cards, Angle Oracle decks, Mythic Tarot Deck, Aleister Crowely Thoth deck, Druid decks, and much more.
However ALL (as far as I’ve read up on) decks are connected to the Rider Waite tarot cards. I recommend starting off with this type of deck. It is very common and popular to use. This is also my very first deck and only deck I am most familiar with.
That is just my recommendation. All decks are different however, it all depends on what kind of readings you wish to do. Start reading up on the different types of deck that are out there and see which one could be right for you.
Here is a link to my very first deck I started out with. Its a great beginner deck. However use this link for tarot card interpretations and an aother link for different tarot card reading spreads
I hope this helps and this has encouraged me to be more aware of other decks out there. So because of this I will be reading up and hopefully practise on all kinds of different decks.
