One of my favourite things about #edgy pseudointellectuals on the Internet is when they post about how confirmation bias is such a pervasive force and constantly influences all people's perception of truth, then 5 minutes later (or earlier. Or both) they act as if their own opinions about everything (esp. religion and politics) are so blatantly self-evident that anybody who fails to assent to them is mentally retarded and might as well believe in conspiracy theories about lizardpeople and UFOs.

I say we’re talking about politics not existentialism or structural linguistics, when would a higher level of vocabulary even be relevant?

It really, really isn’t. Structural linguistics is analysis of the syntactic and paradigmatic systems of a language, without reference to its historical development, or the actual meanings of words. It’s basically linguistic analysis without reference to philology.

A recent observation. The ignorance of someone who replies “I know” to everything. For instance, you literally cannot know the experiences of another being. Get over yourselves. There is nothing worse than listening to a person state their opinions and beliefs in such a way that they essentially deem any idea that differs from their own as idiotic. I understand being passionate about ones beliefs, but there is a fine line between being confident and being simple-minded.
