It’s one of those days where everything feels like a task. Current to do list:

Get out of bed

Go to bathroom

Brush teeth

Wash face

Get dressed

Open blinds

Pack stuff into bag

Probably feed cat

Water plants

Put on shoes

Go to car

Drive to parents house

Feed pets

Find mums cleaning stuff

Clean floors

Put cleaning stuff away

Think about what to do for lunch

Visit oma and opa

Go back home

Start working on advent calendar presents (aka sewing bookmarks; probably while watching buffy)

Call mum at some point

Yeah I think that’s it so far.. idk it just seems overwhelming today let’s see how far I can get

WHAT HITS HARD WHEN YOU ARE AN ADULT

I remember as a child, when I am sick, I can simply skip my classes and just get back when I feel better. I can give an excuse letter and send my requirements a bit later too. But as an adult, at work, when you are sick, you will even think twice if you will skip work because of financial or workload issues. When you want to breakdown, sometimes you couldn’t even get a moment to stop. You just cry and work at the same time. You will just keep on pushing knowing what is in the top of your priorities, bills. Sadly, often times it’s no longer about living to pursue happiness and passion but to SURVIVE. But that’s okay. There’s nothing wrong with that.
