#psych rant

My biggest issue with Psych is they always give you the frustrated part of Henry and Shawn's dynamic but it never feels resolved. I've only started season 6 rn but it just feels so weird to me that after Henry says he wished Shawn never came back. There is actually no resolution. We are made to believe there is something nice on the card that we aren't privy to but that's the thing. It doesn't resolve their fight. And in the next episodes, Henry is just back at the police department like nothing happens. All their fights and they never get resolved. The next episode it's almost like it never happened and that frustrates me so much.

My mom watching Psych and I'm just there and the opening had a flashback of Shawn's dad talking to him after a girl hit him and I was glad that he didn't a "Ooooh~ She likes you! 😉😉😉😉😉" but then he said "Son, you just went on your first date 😌" and talked about how listening to woman and crap and I'm like "WTH!?" and not gonna lie, I ain't really enjoying the show. 😒

i still can’t believe it’s almost been a whole year without a new psych episode...i miss it more than anything. it helped me find a lot of my interests and i feel lost without it </3

no one can replace a dead parent, no matter how many years you had with them.

sera and I have this in common, you will always wonder what they would be like, if they would be proud, what life could of been like if they had been there.

And I know what it's like to hope the alternative will be what they could be, and then to have that person let you down is the most wretched thing.

phoenix took a role in sera's life that was needed, given she was just a bit more present than koz, it was all on her own desire to be there. Sera was reared by her grandparents, they didn't replace Koz's importance. The parental roles are sacred positions to Sera. Iona is like her Guardian Angel, Pho is like her mother and her father's Guardian Angel (sera's nickname/roll for her). Kozmotis is both an idolized individual and a parental figure...

Also sera doesn't think anyone but Phoenix should be with her father if he were to ever consider marrying again, in her own mind, in mainverse.

It's unfair to think Sera would change her perspective on her idolized mother, and it's not fair to expect Pho to actually do that. Idolization isn't healthy, but it's normal.

Am I the only one that feels this way

First things first, I love Psych so much. I will continue to watch the show until it ends have no doubt about that. But...

I feel like Psych has just lost its touch. I really get the feeling that they're trying to hard. The only way I can describe is like when a little kids does something cute and its funny at first, but then after they do it like 5 times its not as funny. You go back to seasons 1-4 and it just felt like natural like they were just playing off each other so well and it was so funny. In my opinion, this season so far has absolutely nothing on the earlier seasons. I think they realize there popularity and they're just trying to hard. Like the jokes are funny, but I feel like we've heard them before?? Example: the first couple times they said "Come on Son" it was funny but now its almost to the point where its annoying. I mean I think I've watched American Duos, Spellingg Bee, The Devil is in The Details, 65 Million Years Off, Black and Tan, and High Top Fade Out (some of my favorite episodes) probably a dozen times each and I still die laughing every time. But this season, I just haven't found my self laughing as much. Maybe I just don't get some of the jokes?? I dont know. I'm probably the only one who feels this way, but its just my opinion. And hopefully they will prove me wrong with the rest of this season and season 8!!
