Writing my yuri with the same energy of a queerbait ship in a otome Isekai
Absolutely insane that medea and psyche were holding on to each other the whole time they fell into the water in episode 2. Ok medea didnt you just call her a wench and want her life, why are you holding her head protectively like that? Why have u not let go of each others hands?
Medea and Psyche
Wait you're so right though
Aisel's natural colour palette ain't bad
But her outfits shouldn't be too white cuz it does feel clashing with her already bleached light colours and I know it's definitely because white is the colour of angels and Aisel being this perfect little angel of the narrative tracks
But with how bleached blonde Aisel is, she's fit to wear the pastel palettes: Pink blue or green or yellow etc, definitely not pure white cuz yeah it is just too bright when compared to her already light colored character design
Exactly, Iselle's appearance in the original novel is that of a fifteen-year-old girl who looks twelve, with platinum blonde hair and emerald green eyes. If the manhwa adaptation had stayed true to Iselle's eye color, emerald green, instead of a blue-green hue, she would have looked much less pale. While white might be a good choice as a narrative device for Iselle's character, it should have been incorporated into the clothing design, accents, or accessories in another color so as not to clash with Iselle's more muted complexion, and so the white wouldn't appear too saturated. A good example is Psyche Callista, one of the protagonists of Your Throne. Like Iselle, she has the same color palette: blonde hair, green eyes, and fair skin. Her primary color at the beginning of the story is white, but the artist knew how to handle that color without making Psyche look too pale. I combine white with brighter colors, like yellow and blue.
Besides white, Psyche's clothing followed a vibrant pastel color scheme, which flattered her.
I completely agree that Iselle, a platinum blonde, should have had a pastel color palette in shades of pink, blue, green, yellow, etc. In fact, if you saw my post, you'll notice that among the dresses I didn't like for Iselle, there are two yellow ones, one green one, and one pink one. The problem is that they were very pale shades, which made Iselle look washed out. If they had used the same colors but in a more vibrant tone, like Psyche's, Iselle would have looked much better. Pure white also makes Iselle look washed out, but if they had added details in vibrant colors, as in Psyche's case, Iselle could have looked like an angel, which I suppose was the artist's intention.
It's almost comical that Catherine looks so much better in colors that should suit Iselle, like yellow and green. This is simply because the artist uses darker tones.
side from the color issue, I find Iselle's clothing design rather bland, as if the dress were still under construction.
"you got me feeling ill 'cause i don't make the rules
