why do u hate Freud

his theories on development were weirdly sexual and sexist (penis envy? literal mother fuckers????), his clinical techniques have little practical application (CBT is all the rage these days lol), like the reason therapists dont get u to lie down and ‘introspect’ is because it’s rarely useful. Freud did kinda go off on his theories of consciousness tho i’ll give him that.
