New Amsterdam touched the subject of controlled acid/MDMA therapeutic sessions and I think it’s so necessary to break these drugs out of the bad stigma that they’ve been boxed in.

Every time that I’ve taken acid, I’ve been in really strange stages of my life.

Each their own trips. Their own visions. Their own feelings.

But at the end of every trip. I felt relief, relaxation, clarity, and calmness. But most importantly, it accessed information that had been deeply repressed.

I tend to do psychoactives such as shrooms and acid when I find myself in a slump in my life or severely depressed.

I found my wallet that I lost over a month ago today.

And in other news, today was actually somewhat decent [despite everything else going on in my life lately], because I decided fuck everything and got pretty high.

It's arguably a *little* better than the alternative coping method I had going, which was essentially just.. visualization exercises.. of violent thoughts 🤫

Oh well.. I'm just considering Jan. 1st to be when I actually try to not do stimulants anymore.

Ancient ritual bundle contained multiple psychotropic plants

The researchers identified the presence of multiple psychoactive compounds—cocaine, benzoylecgonine (the primary metabolite of cocaine), harmine, bufotenin, dimethyltryptamine (DMT) and possibly psilocin (a compound found in some mushrooms)—from at least three different plant species (likely Erythroxylum coca, a species of Anadenanthera and Banistesteriopsis caani). According to Capriles, the fox-snout pouch likely belonged to a shaman. "Shamans were ritual specialists who had knowledge of plants and how to use them as mechanisms to engage with supernatural beings, including venerated ancestors who were thought to exist in other realms," said Capriles. "It is possible that the shaman who owned this pouch consumed multiple different plants simultaneously to produce different effects or extend his or her hallucinations.'"
