To me the saddest thing about the whole incredibles hero files and their deaths is how Violet, Dash, and Jack Jack will never know how many uncle and aunt figures they could’ve had but never got to know, since they were all killed before they were born or while Violet was still a baby.

Granted a lot of them weren’t exactly morally pure or the best role models (Gamma Jack, Psychwave, and Hypershock) but I’m sure most of them would have loved the kids and look forward to guiding them in becoming superheroes.

Like I can see Bob happily introducing baby Violet to all his hero friends and letting them each hold her (except Hypershock) . They’re all so happy for him and Helen. I feel like Gazerbeam and Thunderhead would have especially adored the kids (totally not bcuz of that one TikTok fanart of gazerbeam holding baby violet).

A couple days ago @cowfroggie and I were yapping and came up with the idea of Phylange, along with his sonic voice project, also being able to do something like Music Meister as well! Mind controlling people with his song. That led into, “hey? What if instead of ever being apart of the Thrilling Three, what if because he could control people with song he was Psychwave’s sidekick and got taught along side Macroburst to be the next Phantasmics member?”

Meet the sassiest version of what I think Phylange could be. Mickey, if you want to recon anything I ramble about go ahead- these are just my thoughts for this au I’d like to share with the people.

Once again- like always, notes and headcanons below the cut!

This man, I feel, is sooo sassy. He takes after Psych a LOT in this au except he has an air of a mean theater kid who’s entirely too used to getting the best roles in plays. This Phylange didn’t have to work for his own team- he was gifted into one.

It’s sorta hinted at in canon that the Thrilling Three was founded by Phylange, Apogee, and Dynaguy and that Psychwave, Everseer, and Plasmabolt founded the Phantasmics with Macroburst coming on after when they were taken in by Ever. To found a super team, you have to put in a lot of work and make sure you are good in the public’s eye- who start off not trusting you. Phylange, in this au, is coming into a pre-established, pre-trusted team: an A-level team. He doesn’t have to play as nice as he needs to normally.

In my designs, all of the Phantasmics are based off of legends (Ex. Macroburst: Robinhood, Everseer: King Arthur), so I based him off of something that would be slightly more recent in his time: the Phantom of the Opera!!!! Specifically the book published in 1910- his mask is a reference to that as well as his cape which would be the texture of a curtain and has curtain trim.. cause he’s a fancy bitch. He takes on Psychwave’s color scheme because Macroburst takes on Everseer’s and that seems common in Sidekick-hero dynamics in this world!!

Things that don’t change about him? He’s still kind. He still cares (somewhat) about his community. That never changes about his character. However his image and what he wants is now much more important because of the group he’s in now.

Things are yet to still change about this guy because this is all new and just… just for fun!!
