this account is so inconsistent but guess who just got third at state?
pro-tip: don't try to write a debate case while listening to the magnus protocol
Question for the debate community here
Which breed of debaters do you fear the most
Policy Debaters
Public Forum Debaters
Congressional Debaters
Lincoln Douglas Debaters
( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡° )
congrats to ME for placing 3rd in my FIRST EVER tournament doing public forum!!!
(my pf partner said the ribbon looked like something a horse would win but i like it)
to any of my dsmp moots or nonmoots who are/were in debate, what event do you guys think c!quackity would do if he were in school
The February Public Forum topic
"Resolved: The Federal Trade Commission should establish a federal regulatory framework for sports betting."
is extremely disappointing. Especially since it got less than half of the student vote.
"A total of 324 coaches and 1,153 students voted for the resolution. The winning resolution received 60% of the coach vote and 45% of the student vote."
Now I don't do PF. I don't do any form of debate. But the other option
"Resolved: The Supreme Court should overturn District of Columbia v. Heller."
Is so so much more relevant to people, especially anyone who is in a school setting (students, teachers, parapros, ect). It's even more disappointing considering the fact that it could have been a great opportunity to mention the faults made by organizations such as the NSDA when it comes to protection of our nation with District of Columbia v. Heller in place.
But what do I know? Sports betting is just so much more interesting! And I know that oh so many people will be passionate about this and give it their all in their rounds!!! God bless the NSDA!
