The Way
Yet another Les Mills Pump workout under my belt. Yeehah! I need to go up to 20lb total for next time. 20lb might not sound like much but when you're on your 50th squat, it tends to burn just a little bit. ;)
I followed the Pump Challenge workout with Hard Core Abs. Little by little, they're slowly being revealed.
I watched The Way last night on Netflix. It was a really good movie. I laughed, I cried, and I was bummed when it ended. The characters are walking the Camino de Santiago. That's something I've wanted to do for a few years now and the film really crystallised the idea in my mind as something I should actually do. I have an enormous bucket list and no sooner do I cross something off, something else gets added. It's one of the best parts of life: there is always something else to see and do. In French class I had to make a poster of my dreams for my life and when I told my ex about it, he said he had no dreams. I don't understand that.
Les Mills Pump Day 2: Pump Challenge
Today was meant to be a rest day but since I can't work out tomorrow, I adjusted the schedule and worked out today instead. My thigh muscles have been good-sore all day and I expect the same for tomorrow. I used 10kg of weight for every exercise, including the triceps with 5lb each. They're going to hate me tomorrow.
Tomorrow is the rest day I was meant to have today. It won't be much of a rest because I have to work from 8am to 5pm and then I have French class from 7pm to 10pm.
I'm sleepy. Time to cook dinner and then spend my evening watching Dexter on Netflix.
Les Mills Pump Day 1
Pump Challenge today! I loved the workout. It felt so good to be working with weights again. I see more progress with weights in a shorter amount of time than I do without them and that's always a good thing. The music on the programme was cool too. Today wasn't the best workout because I wasn't always sure what weights to use. I expected that. Next time I'll know how much to lift for each exercise. By the end of the workout, my muscles were shaking. I love that!
Tomorrow is meant to be a rest day with Pump Challenge again on Tuesday. I'm having to rearrange the schedule so I do PC again tomorrow and Tuesday is the rest day. Tuesday is always a bad workout day for me because I work 8am - 5pm and then I have French classes 7pm - 10pm. Two hours between 5pm and 7pm isn't long enough for me to have dinner, workout and shower, commute from work and commute to my language school.
Lastly, someone has been complaining about me outside of Tumblr world. Apparently if you're jealous of someone, it's better to just stab them in the back and complain then to try and raise your game and work harder to be better than them. Whatever. Haters gonna hate!
Day 4 - January 26, 2012
