October 7th - Tradition

“Thanks, Quinn.” Dardillien said with a warm smile as she set the pumpkin ale on the counter of the bar. He reached into his pocket to pull out several coins to pay for the beer, and then pulled out a few more pieces of gold to leave the bartender as a tip. He liked Quinn, she was nice, and while they weren’t close by any means he had been ordering drinks from her for a few years now. And she probably knew more about case work than anyone else due to some of his drunken ramblings.

Leaving the bar the Gilnean took a sip from the beverage, letting it sit on his tongue for a moment to appreciate the taste before swallowing. He made his way to the upper level of the Pig and Whistle to be by himself and watch the people that came into the establishment. 

In a way this had been a tradition for Dardillien over the years, even if he didn’t mean for it to be, it just sort of became one. Right in the midst of the autumn season he always would go to a tavern and order at least one pumpkin drink of some kind, usually an ale, as it got him more into the mood of the season. It was a tradition that went back to when he started working as a bartender himself in Gilneas, he would order his drink and enjoy the crisp fall weather.
