Somewhere along the trail her target had grown suspicious. Sensing he’d turn around at any moment she scanned the crowd then acted fast. “Happy New Year,” she declared, shouting in a tone to match the rowdy mob while seizing the tall dark haired stranger by the collar and planting searing kiss that screamed of familiarity. Or at the least Ororo appeared to be just another drunk in Time Square. At any rate it worked. “And many more,” she breathed out watching as the man she was following casually strolled by. “Thanks for the assist.” The next few seconds waiting to get a safe distance was going to be awkward, but she collected herself as if nothing odd had just occurred.

Honestly, it was the toxic environment SHIELD had become that she needed to get away from, not stopping from being a hero, spy, whatever you wanted to call her. Hells Kitchen had definitely kept her on her toes and surprisingly made her feel normal. The two guys she had stopped earlier tonight, knocked out and chained to the nearest fire-escape for the cops to find them later. She gave her batons a twirl, hearing a noise and sneaking back into the shadows. "Do you mind? I'm working here, unless you're stalking me."
