Tails in nearly every Sonic.exe or horror AU:

he's one of the most important people in Sonic's life, so narratively it stings more for him to die

he's a little boy who'd probably have a harder time than, say, Knuckles or Amy to be able to defend himself immediately without any kinda preparation against The Horrors

If allowed to live, he's (usually) smart enough to stop the problem very quickly

The guy's kinda got the cards stacked against him. Sorry Tails fans. Luckily though, you can be the change you wanna see.

I highly reccomend World of Dark! It's still ongoing, but it's an infection AU for Smash, so horror topics will be present.

Few things to note:

Progress is made through logs

the Fighters are in a permanent stamina mode

the worlds of the fighters are in bubbles, with the world's connection being severed when the Hands disappeared

I HIGHLY suspect Dharkon is behind it, as the infection is spread by stings; the au is called World of Dark; and the Infected fighters profiles are purple, like how their eyes are when fighting spirits in the dark world.

I don't tend to vibe with those sorts of AUs so I probably won't be looking into it much, but that is a neat concept.

The more I read Infested, the more I'm reminded of Las Plagas from RE4.

Parasitic, insectoid entities

Ancient, as shown by fossils and cave art

We start the story with Special operatives heading to thereadings, similar how to Leon is driven to spain to rescue the president's daughter.

but that's just silly stuff, i love the comic!

RE4 is, in fact, an influence for Infested! One I've mentioned a few times but have neglected to do so all the times (<- the forgetter)

The tank! it's pretty barebones, but i copied it from an earlier thiing engineer anon was in.

it's got a large ladder for when Porter turns back, and a forward/backward and left/right pair of levers.

"Well, thanks a bunch. This is going to help a lot. Now for the water part!"

Terry gets into the new tank and attempts to pour water the old tank into the new one.

Candy anon! Not a lot of candycore outfit choices available in Gacha Club, but i like how tjey turned out!

(Also, just remembered candy anon was a thing for like, 2 asks. But not important ! I'm quite proud of these designs!

(real talk, it sucks that Corruption was just played off for Shadow Generations. I would've loved to know more about it, and it's strange that it was for some levels as well as Mephiles' boss fight, considering he was made noncanon.

((Yeah. With a name like "Corruption," you think it would, y'know, corrupt things instead of being a substance on terrain that slows you down when Shadow is normal.))
